Plot: When fairies stole her brother, Red vowed to get him back. Now trapped in the fairy realm, she begs an audience with the fairy court where she strikes a bargain. Her brother will be returned - but only if she can complete a task set by the court. In a world of trickery and deception, Red is about to find that not all is as it seems. For even if she succeeds, will the fairies keep their promise?
Review: This book was, in my opinion, better than its predessesor Thirteen Treasures because there was more of a set purpose, a task - to find the thirteen charms on Tanya's bracelet before they turn into thirteen curses.
For Rowan (or 'Red') this book was a journey of self-discovery, with Rowan finding out secrets about her past and her family.
I think this book is a good read, by a UK author who is good at her job.
